DR. KENNETH JUDY IS A CLINICAL
PROFESSOR AT NEW YORK UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF DENTISTRY IN IMPLANT
DENTISTRY, AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH IN PROSTHODONTICS AND
AT TEMPLE UNIVERSITY IN PERIODONTICS / IMPLANTOLOGY. HE IS A
GRADUATE OF GEORGRTOWN UNIVERSITY (1964) IN AB PRE-MED CLASSICS
AND OF NEW YORK UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF DENTISTRY (DDS-1968).
DURING AND AFTER HIS PREDOCTORAL STUDIES, DR. JUDY WAS THE
RECIPIENT OF SEVERAL RESEARCH FELLWSHIPS. HE THEN TRAINED IN
SURGICAL PROSTHETICS WITH DR. ISIAH LEW AT THE NEW FRENCH AND
POLYCLINIC MEDICAL SCHOOL AND HEALTH CENTER IN NEW YORK. DR.
JUDY HAS AUTHORED OVER ONE HUNDRED RESEARCH AND CLINICAL
ARTICLES, EDITORIALS AND TEXTBOOK CHAPTERS. HE HAS LECTURED
EXTENSIVELY NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY ON ORAL IMPLANTOLOGY
/ IMPLANT DENTISTRY AND TERMINAL RECONSTURUCTION. SINCE 1979 DR.
JUDY HAS BEEN CHAIRMAN OR CO-CHAIRMAN OF THE INTERNATIONAL
CONGRESS OF ORAL IMPLANTOLOGIST (ICOI), THE WORLD’S LARGEST
PROVIDER OF CONTINUING DENTAL IMPLANT EDUCATION. HE SERVES ON
THE DEAN’S ADVISORY COUNCIL AT NEW YORK UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF
DENTISTRY AND IS THE CHAIRMAN OF ITS 2005-2009 CAPITAL CAMPAIGN.

DR. SAUL WEINER
Dr. Weiner is a Professor in the New
Jersey Dental School for over 25 years. He has taught
Prosthodontics and Implantology at the predoctoral,
post-doctoral and continuing education levels. He
currently directs the predoctoral didactic implant courses and
presents continuing education courses in implantology for
general practioners.
He has a private practice in which he both surgically places as
well as restores implants. He has made a number of
research and clinical presentations on dental implantology at
the national as well as local levels.
My position is that of full professor in
the Department of restorative Dentistry at New Jersey Dental
School. I have taught both specialists and dental students in
all aspects of Restorative Dentistry. In the last 10 years I
have developed a strong interest in implant dentistry. they have
been reflected in a number of research presentations at the
Academy of Osseointegration, the International Association for
Dental Research and the annual meeting of the American College
of Prosthodontics. My training is that of a Prosthodontist,but
in addition I practice and teach the surgical & prosthetic
Treatment of dental implantology. Continuing Education is also a
particular interest of mine and I have presented ten implant
dentistry courses for general practioners and specialists. The
didactic courses in implant dentistry for the specialty students
in Prosthodontics as well as for the dental student are also my
responsibility.

Dr Stewart Harding
Dr Stewart Harding MSc, BDS (Newcastle), MSc

Honorary Associate Clinical Professor
Stewart is
an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Warwick. He
has recently been awarded the MSc in Implant Dentistry. Since
qualifying he has held various full and part time hospital
appointments in the UK. Stewart has been in private practice
since 1984 and introduced osseointegrated implants into his
restorative and orthodontic practice in 1985. Over a twelve year
period he has successfully placed and restored over five
thousand implants.
Since 1993 he has primarily practiced in Guernsey, 90% of which
is implant based. He is also an honorary clinical teacher at the
Clinical Academic Group of Restorative Dentistry, Manchester
University Dental School.
Stewart began teaching dentists in 1992 founding the Implant
Training Institute in 1997 for the training of general dental
practitioners in implant techniques. At present he is running
the certificate programme for the University of Warwick M Sc in
implant dentistry. Additionally he also runs one and two day
teaching programmes for dental technicians designed to teach
implant prosthetic fabrication and application of restorative
components. One and two day short courses are also held
throughout the year for the dental team and auxiliaries.
He is a former committee member of the Association of Dental
Implantology and a fellow of the International Congress of Oral
Implantologists. Stewart has authored numerous articles on the
subject of implantology, lecturing in Europe, West Indies,
India, Bahrain and have been invited to speak in Japan.
He became
aware of the need for specialist instrumentation and has
developed instruments specifically for implantology. Many of the
instruments that he has designed are currently used by
implantologists throughout Europe and United States. Stewarts is
the developer of
the Osteo-Ti Dental
implant system the most widely used British implant in the UK.
In 1992 he formed Osteo-Ti Limited a company involved with the
manufacture and development of implantable devices and materials
for maxilliofacial application. In 1997 Osteo-Ti was the first
British implant system to obtain CE marking for its products.
Currently he is involved in research into the
response of bone to substitute bone materials. A three year
research programme started at Manchester University in 1999 to
evaluate an immediate and early loading dental implant system
which he developed. Clinical trials will investigate the
benefits of immediate implant placement following tooth removal
also research is to be conducted into same day magnetic
overdentures.

As a matter of introduction, he has completed
his post-graduation in Prosthodontics, TMD, and Implant
Dentistry concurrently with a Master of Science degree in
Oral Biology from the University of Medicine & Dentistry-New
Jersey Dental School-USA. Under-Graduate degree from
Annamalai University RM Dental College & Hospital, India. He
is currently holding a part time faculty position as the
lecturer & Instructor Dept. of Prosthodontics/Implant
Dentistry at Ajman University-UAE. And adjunct professor at
UMD-New Jersey Dental School-USA. His Master’s research was
in the field of different dental implants involving
transmitted stresses in the peri-implant area.His private
dental office is based in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai,
where he performs most of his implant surgeries and
prosthetic treatments. He is the Consultant for the American
Hospital in Dubai. He is the Founder of Implant Dentistry –
Study Consortium ID-SC, the first ADA approved Dental
Implant continuing education course in the Gulf and Middle
East. President-Chairman of scientific committee-Study Club
of Oral Implanytology (SCOI) – United Arab Emirates Medical
Association. He has 11 years of experience with most of the
implant systems like the NobelBioCare, Astra, Lifecore,
Biolok, 3i, ITI, Zimmer and the BioHorizon system. Presented
lectures in USA (Harvard Univ.), Penselvania- Penn Univ.,
China (Hunan Univ.), UAE (Ajman Univ.), Qatar. Organized
socioeconomic activities and dental camps in Yemen, Sudan,
and Bangladesh. And published articles in the JPD.
